- Please feed your child before arrival. We provide tastings and a light snack at every session, not a full meal.
- Drop-off is available for children ages 8 and up. Children ages 7 and under require a parent or guardian to stay on-site.
- Food allergy and emergency contact information is required at checkout. Our sessions involve chocolate, cashews, coconut, orange zest, and sprinkles. If your child has a nut allergy we will substitute throughout the full program.
- Wear clothes that can get a little chocolatey.
- We are indoors. Sessions run rain or shine.

Chocolate Explorers Camp: Summer 2026
Your kid is going to talk about this all summer.
Chocolate Explorers Camp is a 4-week program where children ages 8 to 12 spend two afternoons a week inside Blue Valley Chocolate's real working factory in Playa Brasilito, making chocolate creations from scratch and taking something home every single session.
Not a class where they watch. Not a tour. They make things. Eight sessions, eight different creations, nothing repeated.
Each session your child discovers something new about cacao and chocolate, works with real ingredients, and walks out with a creation they made with their own hands.
The details:
- Dates: June 16 to July 9, 2026
- Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30 to 3:30 PM
- Location: Blue Valley Chocolate Factory, Centro Comercial The Village #127, Playa Brasilito, Guanacaste
- Ages: 8 to 12 (younger children welcome with a parent on-site)
- Group size: Maximum 10 children
- Price: $280 per child. All materials, aprons, chocolate, toppings, take-home creation, and a light refreshment included at every session.

About Blue Valley Chocolate
Blue Valley Chocolate is a Costa Rica-based bean-to-bar chocolate maker with an organic cacao farm, a working factory, and a retail and experience destination in Playa Brasilito, Guanacaste.
We have won 9 International Chocolate Awards, including Gold for our Maleku signature line. Everything we make starts with single-origin cacao grown on our own farm, processed with no additives, and rooted in a deep respect for Costa Rican cacao heritage and the Maleku people whose relationship with cacao goes back generations.
