Chocolate Explorers: Kids Drop-In Experience

The Chocolate Explorers Drop-In Session is a 90-minute kids' experience at Blue Valley Chocolate - the bean-to-bar factory in Playa Brasilito where we grow, roast, grind, and hand-wrap every bar on-site. No scripts, no generic craft kits. This is real chocolate, made here, with real techniques.

Every session follows three acts: Learn It (a discovery block that explains the why behind chocolate), Make It (a hands-on activity using real ingredients and tools), and Play It (a game, challenge, or creative project). Every child leaves with something they made themselves.

Pick a theme when you book:

"Where Does Chocolate Come From?": Crack open a real cacao pod, taste every stage of the bean-to-bar journey from raw bean to finished bar, then dip your own fruit in single-origin chocolate. Rooted in the story of our farm at the base of Tenorio Volcano. Take home: a box of your own chocolate-dipped fruit

"The Science of Chocolate": Two pieces of chocolate. Identical-looking. Completely different. Why? Kids use real thermometers to figure it out, then temper their own batch, make custom bark, and blind-taste four percentages. Take home: your own custom chocolate bark

"Be a Chocolatier": Decode real bar labels to understand what separates fine chocolate from supermarket stuff. Then design and make your own mendiants - chocolate discs you top and decorate yourself, packaged in a box you build and brand. Take home: a box of your custom mendiants

Adults are welcome to watch at no charge and we'll set you up with a complimentary cacao tasting while you wait.
