Ordering & Production

To guarantee the exceptional quality your guests deserve, we carefully craft our chocolates in small batches. Because of this, and the custom packaging often involved in hospitality orders, we kindly request advance notice. This allows us to plan production carefully and coordinate reliable, on-time deliveries for your business.

Orders that require custom packaging or special preparation typically require approximately four (4) weeks’ advance notice. For partners with annual amenity programs or standing orders, lead times can often be reduced to approximately seven (7) days, as packaging and inventory can be prepared in advance.

Whenever possible, we encourage partners to establish annual amenity programs or standing orders, which allow us to maintain inventory, streamline production planning, and offer faster turnaround times and more favorable pricing.

We understand that urgent needs arise. We will gladly do everything we can to accommodate rush requests, depending on our current production capacity and custom packaging availability.

Delivery Schedule

Our standard local delivery day is Wednesday, which allows us to coordinate production and logistics efficiently. Orders are scheduled according to this weekly delivery cycle based on the applicable lead time.

Complimentary local delivery is offered for orders over $250. Alternate delivery days may sometimes be arranged depending on availability.

Ordering & Payment Terms

Orders are typically confirmed once a purchase order (PO) has been received. Invoices are issued upon delivery and are due upon receipt, unless otherwise agreed.

About Blue Valley Chocolate

Blue Valley Chocolate crafts single-estate chocolate from cacao grown on our organic farm in northern Costa Rica and we partner with Costa Rican farmers to produce single origin products at our factory in Brasilito. Because our chocolate is made in small batches using beans from our own and small partner farms, certain products may occasionally have limited availability.
